On
Tuesday the 14th of August 2018, female leaders in Akwa Ibom State University
Students’ Union paid a courtesy visit to the President of Akwa Ibom State
University Women Association (AKSUWA) – Dr. Ebi Eno Ibanga.
Ably
led by Comr. Uduakobong Martins Udofia, who doubles as the Secretary-General of
Akwa Ibom State University Students’ Union, the 11-member delegation informed
Dr. Ebi Ibanga that they came among other things, to proudly identify with the positive
strides that women are contributing to the rapid development of Akwa Ibom State
University.

In
her response, Dr. Ebi Ibanga thanked the female leaders for coming together as
a group and contributing their quota to further advance the progress and development of the
University in general as well as the female-folk in particular. She promised that AKSUWA will support the proposed submit within the limit of available resources and challenged the
female leaders to continue to encourage female students to put more effort into
their studies, in other to graduate with flying colours at the end of their
study in the University.
Dr.
Ebi reminded the leaders that the Akwa Ibom State University of today, has zero tolerance
for anti-social vices such as cultism, exam malpractice, etc. She urged them to be guided by the fact that Management and Government was committing huge resources into providing a safe and conducive environment for academic excellence.
