Late Samuel Ime Edekhe
Samuel Ime Edekhe was a 200-level student of the Department of Agricultural Engineering in Akwa Ibom State University. On Sunday, the 26th of February 2017, he felt what many though was a slight pain in his stomach. By Monday, the 27th, the pain became severe and the parent had to send for him to come home. Straight to University of Uyo Teaching hospital was where his parents took him. The medical team at UUTH ran a couple of test, made some diagnosis as well as prescribed a course of treatment.

He barely survived Tuesday, the 28th 0f February and by Wednesday, the 1st of March 2017, he had passed-on.

Born in 1997, Samuel attended St Joseph primary school and thereafter proceeded to Presbyterian Senior Science School, Ididep in Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State for his Secondary education.

A glossary look at his social network page reveals an advise that youths of today should take to heart. In the words of Samuel … “let your ways be pleasant before God”.

On Friday, the 10th of March 2017, students and staff of the Akwa Ibom State University took out time to attend the burial of this young boy, who many have described as a first class material, having gotten a GPA of 4.35 in his 100 level of study. He is survived by three (3) brothers, a father and mother, as well as a grandfather.
